Automatic product SKU — PrestaShop

Typing product codes by hand is the chore you only remember once it gets messy. This module assigns the reference automatically when a product is created — in the format you define, e.g. SKU0007 or CX-12-PL.

Choose ID-based or an independent counter, set zero-padding. It never touches manual codes or existing products, and on duplication it detects the clash and assigns a new number. Works from PrestaShop 1.6 to 8.x.

Especially handy with large catalogs and frequent additions — no more „I will fill the reference later" and messy exports. Consistent codes then make search, integrations and warehouse work easier. Setup takes seconds: define the format and forget about it.
