- New
New products ready to sell from the start. Set a default quantity per category and the module fills in the stock automatically - duplication included. No manual entry.
Adding new products in PrestaShop comes with a small, repetitive step that is easy to forget - setting the stock quantity. The result is familiar to every shop: a freshly added item stays at zero and never appears for sale until someone fixes the inventory by hand. This module solves the problem at the source - every newly created product automatically receives a stock level based on your configuration, with no extra clicks.
In the module panel you define a separate value for any category in your shop. Products from different departments can therefore start with different stock - for example 100 units for mass items and 5 units for limited pieces. Configuration happens on a clear category tree with a quantity field next to each one.
Creating a product by copying an existing one is among the most common ways to extend a catalogue. The module handles this scenario exactly like creating from scratch - the duplicate gets the stock derived from its categories, regardless of what the original had.
The product default category takes priority. If it is not configured, the module uses the first matching category from the list. And when the product belongs to none of the selected categories (for example only Home, or no category at all), a global fallback quantity is applied. You can leave this last field empty - in that case the stock is simply left untouched.
The "Set all" button fills every category with a single value at once, and individual entries can be adjusted in seconds. You do not have to go through hundreds of categories one by one.
The module works only on products created after it is installed. It never modifies your current catalogue - no overwritten stock, no surprises. On top of that, the automatic stock setting does not clutter the stock movement history with needless entries.
It is ideal for shops that regularly add new products or create them by duplication and want them available for sale with a sensible stock level right away. It saves time, prevents mistakes and keeps the catalogue consistent. The module is fully self-contained and compatible with PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9.
